Sitede konu hakkında bir yazı hazırlamıştım.

Kendi tecrübelerime dayanarak denk geldiğim üçüncü Sigma lensi oldu. Bana ait olması ayrıca can sıkıcı oldu haliyle.

On Sigma i have only one experience which was not good. I once bought a Sigma 14mm F3.5 (could not afford the Canon but should have bought the Tamron). The lens is quite mediocre and not very usable until it gets to F8. The real issue is that it was an example of Sigma not reverse engineering the Canon AF system correctly so it will not work on Digital bodies - only film EOS bodies. They did have a chip replacement / upgrade but it evidently was not available / out of stock / did not work for this lens.

I have to agree about the compatability problems with Sigma - their atitude towards it is also bad, at least in the UK. They tried to claim that Canon too had compatability problems but when pressed hard they confessed that this was that the old FD lenses do not fit EF cameras!
They try to say that the newer ones can be reprogrammed but my conclusion is to never ever ever buy Sigma again.

Both of my Sigma lenses will not work with the Digital Rebel. I called Sigma and they acknowledged that many of their lenses do not work and mine they say are not upgradeable. (Some are). One of those lenses was bought only 5 years ago and cost $400.00. Canon did offer me a trade-in which was giving me $20 for my old lens. I have decided not to spend my hard earned money on a lens that is not really totally Canon compatible. What new feature will show up in the future that will make today's Sigma unusable on your new camera? You can imagine how it is to put your lens on your new camera body and get a funny sound and error 99 in the window. The odd thing is that Sigmas are not all that cheap either. The Sigma lenses that I have are the 50mm macro and the 18-35 zoom.

I recently purchased a 50D to upgrade from my old 35mm film Rebel. My Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 is having difficulty communicating with the camera. I have had intermittent success with it in that in spurts, the lens works fine for a few shots then without warning, I'll get the 01 lens error message. Interestingly enough, I seemed to find a trend in that the lens would work with the single exposure drive mode. I took close to 100 shots thinking I had it figured out. But unfortunately in the middle of taking shots of my 2 yr old at the beach, all of a sudden it doesn't seem to work at all. When I press the shutter, I get the error message regardless of the drive mode and any other combination of camera settings. The image is still recorded to the card, however I need to turn off the camera and turn it back on to view the image and to take the next one.
I also have a 28-80mm macro and 24mm Sigma lens. The Macro lens does the same as the tele, error message every time, but records the image to the card. The 24mm I only get the error and no image at all.
I've sent the body back to Canon to see if it was the camera (it wasn't) and Sigma simply is telling me that the lenses are too old to be repaired and that I need to upgrade.
Has anyone had this issue? If so, is there a "home remedy" solution that I can try? I've already been told to rub the contacts gently with a pencil eraser to try to clean them. No luck.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
